Within weeks of its launch, the new Star Plus show Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala has attracted a lot of eyeballs, which has resulted in a good performance on TRP charts. The show is toplined by handsome television star Mohit Malik who plays a rockstar in it. The actor has been receiving hoards of praises ever since the show hit the tube. The latest we hear that the makers of Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala have now approached television hottie Barun Sobti to play a pivotal part in the soap.

Just like Mohit Malik, Sobti will also be seen in the role of a rockstar. Initially, his character will be that of a struggling rockstar who goes on to become extremely popular in times to come. It will be the first time when fans of Barun see their favourite actor essaying the role of a rockstar in a TV series.

A source reveals to a popular entertainment website that producer Gul Khan feels that Barun is her lucky charm, and hence she wants him to be part of her latest offering. “Gul wanted Barun in a significant role for this show hence makers are in talks to get him on board,” reveals the show.

Meanwhile, Barun Sobti has also signed Ekta Kapoor ’s digital series The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family and Voot Original, Karma.
