Ekta Kapoor to make an Indian original based on the lines of Game Of Thrones?

For the last couple of years, Indian web world has risen to prominent heights, and few of the originals made here on domestic shore were as brilliant as the international ones. But till date, no Indian content creator has tried to deliver something grand and lavish on the web. But looks like the television queen and Balaji Telefilms’ head honcho, Ekta Kapoor has some big plans in store. After ruling the small screen for years, and proving her mettle on the web, Ekta has plans to make an Indian original series based on the lines of the epic show, Game Of Thrones. Though the show will not be a remake or a rip-off, the storyline and scale might be closer to GoT.

An insider close to Ekta informed a leading portal, “Though not an official adaption, the project will have the feel and look of the medieval drama.”

When probed further, another insider confirmed the news and stated, “It will have a heavy dose of sex in it.”

For the uninitiated, Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama TV series, and it is based on a novel by the same name. The show is extremely famous in India, and it delivers epic drama, black magic, dragons and even reincarnation.

If everything falls in place, Ekta’s show will reportedly go on floors from later May.
