The actor, who most recently appeared in ‘Yashoda’ and is eagerly anticipating ‘Shaakuntalam’, spoke about her myositis and said that she had not received a diagnosis while filming these two movies. She stated in an interview that while she was physically good during the ‘Shaakuntalam’ shoot, she was going through a divorce on a personal level. She continued by saying that she had undergone significant mental, physical, and spiritual growth over the previous two years, which had forced her to adjust to anything that came her way. “I don’t think they won. When she was still living apart from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu disclosed in an interview that ‘Pushpa’ had offered her the song ‘Oo Antavana’. Her family and friends cautioned her against performing an item song at such a vulnerable time, but she pushed herself and did it anyway, which eventually led to a hit. Samantha said when discussing her divorce: "I just thought, 'why should I hide?' I did not do anything wrong. I was not going to wait for all of the trolling, abuse and hate to go away and slowly creep back in like someone who committed a crime. I was not going to do that. I gave my marriage 100%, it did not work out. But, I was not going to beat myself up and feel guilty for something I didn't do. I loved the lyrics of the song. I loved how the character was positioned. For me, it was just another character I was playing."
