    Priyanka Chopra to essay Amrita Pritam in Sahir Ludhianvi's biopic

    Priyanka Chopra will play the literary queen Amrita Pritam in the upcoming biopic of poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.

    The "exotic" Bollywood babe Priyanka Chopra is on a roll with her hands full of projects and her upcoming much-awaited release ' Mary Kom '. Here comes oven fresh news update. Priyanka Chopra is going to play the literary giant Amrita Pritam, the love interest of eminent poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi, in the forthcoming biopic of Ludhianvi.

    Irrfan Khan will step in the shoes of Sahir Ludhianvi in this biopic, as per the report. The film titled as 'Gustaakhiyaan' as of now and is being directed by Ashi Dua , who produced ' Bombay Talkies '. The flick is expected to hit the floors early next year. The director Ashi thinks Priyanka can pull this role very well. Priyanka gave a nod for the film after taking her time.

    Amrita and poet Ludhianvi found solace in companionship, although they never exchanged marital vows. This relationship was there for about 40 years until Ludhianvi's death in the year 2005.
