Selfiee, a movie starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, was released on February 24 but was a financial failure. On opening day, the movie only brought in Rs 2.55 crore. The movie reportedly experienced a tiny increase over the weekend, but this did little to assist the numbers. According to sources, the film directed by Raj Mehta made between Rs 3.50 and Rs 4.50 crore.
The second and third days of the release of the movie Selfie starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi brought in between Rs 3.50 crore and Rs 4.50 crore. The aggregate collections were still modest, though. Currently, the movie has made between Rs 10 crore and Rs 11 crore in total. However, it took three days for the Akshay Kumar-starring movie to achieve the double-digit numbers at the ticket counter. Selfiee won't be able to earn even Rs 20 crore to Rs 25 crore at the box office if it keeps putting up terrible numbers.
SELFIEE
The movie received mixed reviews from reviewers and the general public upon its release. Prithviraj Sukumar and Suraj Venjaramoodu played the key characters in the 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence, which was directed by Raj Mehta. Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty are also present in the movie. Selfiee joins the recent list of failed movies Akshay has released, which also includes Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, and Bachchan Paandey.
