Akshay Kumar enjoys a massive fan following among the audience and is one of the biggest Bollywood stars. The actor is quite famous for his comedy timing and action avatar, But last year seemed like a year that the actor might not want to remember. He had back-to-back four flops at the box office including Bachchhan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu. Well, this year too he doesn’t seem to have a great start as his first release for thus year, ‘Selfiee’ also seems to be going down in theatres. In a recent interview, Akshay aka Khiladi spoke about his streak of flop films and the reason behind it.
Talking about his consecutive flops, Akshay said, “This is not the first time that this has happened to me. I've experienced 16 straight failures at a time. There was a moment when eight of my pictures in a row were duds. I now have 3 to 4 unsuccessful films. The unfortunate part is that I am to blame for it. You must disassemble yourself because the audience has changed, and you must also change. The audience wants to see something different, so you must start over. That is all I can do—try to change. Nevertheless, don't point the finger at the audience or anyone else.”
Akshay’s latest film Selfiee also starred Diana Penty and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. It was a remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Malayalam film, Driving License. The actor is currently shooting for his most awaited film, Hera Pheri 3 along with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.
