A fresh drug scandal has shaken the Telugu film industry. The ongoing inquiry has uncovered a few well-known personalities connected to the film and television business. One of the main defendants in this narcotics case is Telugu film producer KP Chowdary.
The Telugu release of Kabali, the critically acclaimed movie starring Rajinikanth, was previously introduced by KP Chowdary. Both Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Mahesh Babu's 2013 action drama Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu were distributed by him.

KP Chowdary was detained by the Goa police in connection with the drug scandal, according to a report. According to reports, he was attempting to sell 111.45 grams of cocaine to Hyderabad. While in Goa, he purchased the cocaine from a narcotics dealer with ties to Nigeria.
According to additional reports, the Telugu producer was detained by the Goa police for two days while being questioned. KP Chowdary supplied cocaine to various celebrities and political groups, according to the interrogation results.
According to the report, Tollywood actress Ashu Reddy and Master actress Surekha Vani have surfaced in the digging scandal. After an old photo of Surekha Vani kissing KP Chowdary at a party went viral, rumours started to fly. Surekha Vani was allegedly accused of appearing drunk on social media.
Ashu Reddy, in the meantime, has denied any involvement in the drug affair. The actress most recently posted a lengthy statement on social media denying her involvement in the issue. She wrote, “To whomsoever concerned… Some sections of the media are talking all kinds of falsehoods with regard to my association with some people… I strongly condemn it and will let the relevant people know the truth of the matter if it comes to that.”
According to a statement made by the police, call records from KP Chowdary's mobile were obtained, showing that the producer had chats with well-known Tollywood stars and influential politicians.
The official statement also revealed that KP Chowdary had sold medicines to 12 individuals, including some famous people and young women. Following the retrieval of the bank account information, the authorities discovered 11 additional questionable transactions made by the buyers. The funds were deposited into KP Chowdary's account.
