Boney Kapoor breaks silence on reports of Janhvi Kapoor making Tollywood debut opposite Jr NTR

The rumour that Janhvi Kapoor will make her Tollywood debut in Jr NTR's next has been going viral for a few months now. There have been persistent rumours that she will work opposite NTR in Buchi Babu Sana's next film. But it seems like, this time it is only a rumour, as her father, Boney Kapoor, cleared the air.

At the Valimai pre-release event in Hyderabad, Janhvi’s father, Boney, was asked about it, and this is what he said. “It is nothing more than a social media rumor,” In response to reports that Janhvi will star in Jr NTR's next film, Boney Kapoor said. The social media world is an odd place. Every other day, a new rumour arises. The rumour that Janhvi will be cast in NTR's film falls into the same category.

He did say that Janhvi will make her Tollywood debut soon. “Many of Sridevi’s fans have inquired about her Telugu film work. The fans here are very important to us, and she will do it soon. As much as you all want to see her act in a Tollywood film, I want to see her act in one as well,” the producer said.

This isn't the first time Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming debut has gone viral. Janhvi was previously rumoured to be planning her Tollywood debut in Jana Gana Mana with Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar's Valimai, directed by Boney Kapoor, is smashing box office records.

Janhvi Kapoor has completed Good Luck Jerry, a Hindi adaptation of Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila (2018), produced by Aanand L. Rai. She has also wrapped up Mili, produced by Boney Kapoor.
