Janhvi Kapoor is one of the famous Bollywood star kids who always had the limelight upon her from the media and paparazzi, thanks to her immensely popular parents, legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. However, things don't look as rosy as they seem. In a recent interview, Janhvi revealed how the negative influence of paparazzi culture affected her childhood and teen years, and to be honest it is quite concerning.
In her latest interview, Janhvi poured her heart out and said one fine day she found out her 'not groomed' paparazzi images were flashing all over her classmate's computer screen's Yahoo homepages. She also mentioned how the one headline of her being launched in the Bollywood instantly changed her classmates and teachers' attitude towards her and it was not something positive.
She said, "I don’t think they understood it so they started disliking me. I didn’t understand what was happening. My friends looked at me differently, they poked fun at me for not getting waxed... Many insinuated that I don’t have to work as I was famous anyway, weird taunts that I wouldn’t understand. Everyone kept asking me when I was leaving school and why I was on Yahoo. There was a lot of judgement, a lot of questioning of one’s self-worth from a very young age.”
Janhvi made her acting debut with Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak, which is the Hindi remake of Marathi film, Sairat. She has later featured in several films like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Good Luck Jerry, Mili, among others. She was last seen in Bawaal with Varun Dhawan.
