Actress Deepika Padukone recently revealed about her depression issues and the struggles of the illness to a leading daily. Post the news, the actress started receiving tremendous support in terms of letters, offers and calls from NGOs, doctors and her close ones. While her family and friends reached out to her, there were also several other people from Bollywood as well as other fields who approached her with the support.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) also has appreciated Deepika's effort to talk openly about the mental illness. The bold actress has taken up an initiative to create awareness about anxiety and depression as a cause. The actress is meeting doctors who are working on the initiative and taking their guidance. She has also asked her team to gather the requests and support that has come in and will try to figure out ways to work on them.

On the Bollywood front the actress was last seen in the blockbuster film ' Happy New Year ' and has received several awards for her part in the film.
