And as reported by Pinkvilla , Irrfan and Deepika met Vishal for a meeting to discuss the film and further pre-production strategy, and we can finally conclude film is happening.

Even the co-producer of this project, Prernaa Arora from KriArj Entertainment also expressed her excitement and gave an overview of the progress on the film so far, She said, “I'm very excited because I think Deepika is a beautiful person and plus extremely talented. We start shooting in January, next year. We plan to release the film on October 2, 2018. Personally, I'm excited to start the journey with them and more to work with Vishal ji on set. Right now we are prepping and a lot of work is going on. Right now, we are looking into the music and the arrangement that we are planning for the film. So we are prepping right now.”

The Sapna Didi will be a crime thriller based on the Mafia Queens of Mumbai by investigative journalist S Hussain Zaidi. It is a story of an intrinsically simple girl turned a heartless gangster with the sole mission to avenge the murder of her husband with whoever comes in her way. The character of Irrfan Khan is intriguingly a womanizer, initially lusted for Sapna Didi. And eventually, he decided to help her in her mission.
