Making biopics is some kind of a trend in Bollywood these days. Every other film in the news turns out to be a biographical one. But no one in the industry plays biographical roles better than Randeep Hooda . The 41-year-old is all geared up to play another real-life character of dacoit Sultana Daku in Madhureeta Anand 's directorial, based on Sujit Saraf's novel ‘The confessions of Sultana Daku’. The film will go on floors from April 2018 and will trace the life of the most notorious dacoit in modern India's history.

The co-producer Rahul Mittra , who purchased the rights to the book with co-producer and presenter Raju Chadha , says, "The film will be shot in the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh and Randeep, who is a champion horseman and rider, will film the extensive action and racing sequences in Kazakhstan, where real locations will pass off as North India from the '20s."

Sultana Daku will be Hooda’s fifth biopic as he has earlier portrayed real-life characters of Raja Ravi Verma, Charles Sobhraj, Sarbjit and Jeet Johar in ‘Beeba Boys’. His next film Battle Of Saragarhi is also a biopic.
