Liberal CBFB clears Poster Boys with U/A Certificate despite the sexual theme

Shreyas Talpade's directorial debut Poster Boys is making news for all the right reasons. The movie stars Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in the lead along with Shreyas playing a pivotal role. The film’s trailer and posters have been well appreciated and have been declared as the most awaited comedy drama. The film is based on the subject of vasectomy and hence there were speculations about getting clearance by the censor board. But, the new CBFC has passed the movie with U/A with only one cut! This definitely is a great news for the makers.

A source from CBFC stated, “It’s good to see intelligent directors taking on sexually related issues. Recently we viewed Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. In that also we found not a single shot or dialogue to be objectionable although it dealt with sex-related subject of erectile dysfunction. Now in Poster Boys, the theme is vasectomy. But the treatment is light and family-oriented. We’ve given the film a ‘UA’ with one verbal cut.”

The upcoming venture is a remake of the Marathi movie by the same name. This project is a directorial debut of actor Shreyas Talpade who seems to be very confident about the film in hand. The movie is slated to release on September 8, 2017. Watch the trailer here:
