Kangana Ranaut to essay real life queen in 'Rani Lakshmibai'

It was in Vikas Bahl's directorial 'Queen', Kangana Ranaut garnered loads of praises for her stellar performance. And now, Kangana Ranaut is all set to play real life queen in the upcoming film 'Rani Lakshmibai' by Ketan Mehta, as per the report.

Kangana will be seen donning the attire of strong headed warrior Rani Lakshmibai. The actress will be playing a mother as well as a warrior in this film. Kangana is reportedly taking lessons for horse riding, sword fighting to play her role in a perfect manner. Co-incidentally Vishal Bhardwaj's period love tale 'Rangoon' also requires Kangana to learn all these skills. She is glad to use these skills also in 'Rani Lakshmibai'. The film is expected to hit the floors in the next year.

Kangana Ranaut will also be featuring in the film 'Simran' by Hansal Mehta. In this, she portrays a bank robber.
