In the past, many Southern films had been successfully remade in Bollywood, but the Hindi remake of the Telugu film, Arjun Reddy, is the most anticipated one. Earlier, it was said that the makers of the original film were looking for Varun Dhawan , then they went to Ranveer Singh , but for the last few days, it was said that Arjun Kapoor has been finalized for the role. But now, news has it that actor Shahid Kapoor has been zeroed in for the role. According to the makers, Shahid will fit aptly for the role as he has the perfect physique and looks to play Arjun Reddy’s character.

Talking about it, a source close to the project informed a leading daily, “The film is scheduled to go on the floors in July and the team is looking for an actress opposite Shahid at the moment. While the locations are yet to be finalised, the plan is to shoot in India as well as abroad."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed the original film, and he will make his directorial debut in B-town by helming the Hindi version.

Talking about the film, a source earlier said, "It follows Arjun’s anger issues after he suffers a heartbreak. The film was widely acclaimed and earned cult status in Telangana. Now, the premise will be adapted to a North Indian setting."
