Actress Anushka Sharma is riding high on the success of her recent film, Pari . Produced under her own banner, the movie turned out to be a successful venture for her. She has three big films lined up to release this year, but apart from all these, she has added another feather to her cap. The young actress, who stepped in the world of producing films at the very young age, will now be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award. She is amongst the few actors who have taken the stepping stone towards backing strong stories and breaking stereotypes with his production company Clean Slate Films.

Recognising her contribution, the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation has decided to honour her with an award for her role in shaping the way cinema is perceived globally.

On the work front, she has completed shooting for Sanjay Dutt ’s biopic and is simultaneously shooting for Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Aanand L Rai ’s Zero .

And apart from these films, her last film, Pari , is all set to be remade in Tamil.

An industry source had informed, "Pari became a success because of its script and the willingness of a superstar to take a huge risk to back content that was aimed at redefining the horror genre in India. Everyone has taken notice of this gutsy decision. Pari will soon have a Tamil remake! Quality horror stories work in this market and the producers here have loved Pari.”
