My very first question to everyone, what were you people expecting from this latest Aamir Khan flick? Dude let me tell you 3 Idiots have moved ahead breaking all barrier in a great speed as a clear winner on the Box office. Lemme explain you this in simple words, "3 Idiots" stand tall fulfilling every promise it had made and consists of all elements that surely entertains the viewer completely to the heart with its interesting and enlightening content that is based upon some real life happenings in our system of education that we can surely relate to what we see and read about every day. Rumoured that the story is slightly inspired from Chetan Bhagat's novel, "Five Point Someone", where it starts with the story of two friends, who starts their journey in search of their third adorable room-mate or say the first idiot of the engineering college who actually made them realized the value of success and helped both of them in finding their own desired path in life. Beginning with a phone call to Madhavan when his flight is about to take off, the phone call is about their lost friend, and then how he manages to leave the flight when it had reached almost above the land. Further he calls Sharman where he gets exited and lefts his pant behind him at his place just in search of his friend. The movie takes off and it keeps shifting between the present & the past and majorly explaining about the days they all spent together in the college studying engineering and to live life to the fullest. Pre-interval is full of fun and highly enjoyable, and here you can catch typical Hirani flavor, the second half is a little bit emotional but fun and with no doubt it is going to be liked by everyone of any age or gender. How can one forget the ragging that happens in every college and this is also then trade mark of Hirani stuffs, the pants dropping humor may be a bit weird and may be over the hype for it can be acceptable for some youngsters for a change. However the whole engineering college campus and the in-class sequences and Aamir khan's frequent questioning in the movie can remind you of all the famous medical college scenes in Hirani's debut masterpiece "Munnabhai M.B.B.S". The entertaining first half ends on a mystery note, which without much wanting people to think much gets solved in the post intermission and then the story moves on towards various ups and downs in the search of the third lost idiot, Aamir. Though the second half has got some dragging moments in the mid but overall, but it does not fail to distract attention of any viewer and win to make a good impact with a surprise twist in the climax that will make the story sound more fun and in never ending excitement, as it makes you leave the hall clapping with a cheerful smile and a sigh of relief. All the credit goes to the director Rajkumar Hirani who brilliantly wrotes all his scenes along with the his talented duo for the flick Abhijat Joshi and the experienced Vidhu Vinod Chopra, as he is the producer. The director has showcased all the serious issues like pressure the student experiences by the institute and expectation of their parents have with them that finally ends up Suicide by them, severe ragging in Colleges, Faulty Education System based on innumerable memorization and the unnecessary competition that creates tension in a student's mind and further in their result is simply admirable. A very polite way is used to convey the message with many comic and hilarious sequences in the movie that absorbs the seriousness into it but carrying a bigger hidden indication for the society. It will also make you think that the job you are doing now is what you always wished for? Or you also have just compromised and bowed down to the demanding needs of your greedy surroundings. But what is the use of such sacrifice where you are still regretting the major decision of your life? To be straight to the point, "3 Idiots" completely belongs to the director. Though again it has the Aamir appearance and is been more publicized and most awaited as an Aamir Khan project, but it would be completely unfair to treat it at par with the perfectionist's earlier movies where he is in full force as a solo hero. The best part is that, every big and small character in "3 Idiots", have strongly made their presence felt, which in turn restrains anybody from calling it an Aamir Khan movie alone. Every character in the movie has a major part on their part which is adding upto creating a landmark in the movie history. But again in this movie "3 Idiots" Aamir cannot be kept behind as he has once again proved his unmatchable understanding of the medium and willingness to work better with a team spirit. Consistently showing his worth and delivering another flawless performance of his dazzling career under the expert direction of Raj Kumar Hirani. And it has been purely seen by his commitment towards the works that shows from the unbelievable slim physique he gets into for the role of a college student after the famous six pack abs act of "Ghajini" and comes out as a clear winner. But as I said Aamir is not only the one, after him the next best act comes from Sharman Joshi who without any doubt and complaints portrays a complex character of a student caught in a dilemma between his poor family, his studies and his friends. It's unarguably the toughest role in the student category and Sharman have given the best performance of his career till date. In simple words a truly award winning act by the young lad in the Best Supporting Act Category this year round. Hirani has very hilariously but in lighter way have treated the poor family of Shaman Joshi and the character of his paralyzed father. Though he mercilessly used the poor character as a comedian and made the audience laugh at his helpless situation but in another way he has tried to portray the dilemma a poor family goes through. Now here is the third idiot, Madhavan with his cute smile equally impresses in the role of an engineering student with extra eyes and is wishing to become a wild life photographer from heart. They best about him in this movie is that Madhavan, will never make you feel as he has a huge star status in the south and impressively plays his part with a quite sincerity. Boman Irani, I don't think so this man has ever felt down as he is superb as earlier, and is seen in the same role as a University professor in his previous flicks. This time he looks great in his messy get up in the movie, surely inspired by Einstein. Another actor that's makes her mark is Kareena Kapoor, as she hasn't got a big role in the script, but she has purely managed to grab everybodies attention through her new look with the glasses and Boman Irani's daughter. Mona Singh, another daughter of Boman Irani, have made herself feel comfortable and is cool in her few scenes but the mystery is why is Javed Jaffery here, as he is totally is wasted in a two scene role that brings a big shock with him. Parikshit Sahni is there with a controlled act he is playing the studious friend of the 3 Idiots and always want to rank first. There was bit unrealistic part where there is flood everywhere and in emergency pregnancy of Mona Singh is performed by Aamir with the online guidance Kareena as she is a doctor, as this looked was visibly intentional, filmy and quite far from reality. You may not notice it as you get totally into the movie but what the hold is the cinematography, it is another aspects that takes a part of the credit especially in the scenes where the three friends meet at the top of a high rise structure and sit on its corner, the beautiful roads that comes in their journey in the mountains and the climax scene shot along the blue water lake of Ladakh. Shantanu Moitra's music is not worth mentioning, as you may not go and by the album but it impresses and leaves a mark after you have watched the movie in the theater. The song "All Izz Well" keeps growing on the mind, once you understand the real meaning of its lyrics in the movie and the song "Sunshine" is that every youngster can relate it to himself. Background score is used creatively in the scenes as it suits different mood in different scenes but purely makes an impression. Without any doubt "3 Idiots" is one of the finest movies of 2009, as the cast have proved it that they stand tall infront of others and the movie will win a great success at the box office. The talented trio, Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra has a sure shot winner in their hands, which will be undoubtedly liked by each and every section of the viewers together and will turn out to be a big success. This movie is a much watch especially for every youngsters as it teaches them to bravely follow their own inner dreams and desires. Giving them an ultimate message that "You should first aim at enjoying and achieving brilliance in your work and then success will automatically follow". It is surely the best end of the year and gives a clear indication of growing Indian cinema with good collection of stories in future.
