Varun Dhawan Biography

Shot to fame with the flick 'Student of the year' debonair Varun Dhawan is an emerging actor of Indian film industry.He gained a great applause for essaying the character of 'Rohan Nanda' alongside Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra in Karan Johar's recent flick. Varun is being considered as a future star of Indian Cinema by many film critics for his splendid acting skills and a great fan following already. Born on 24th April 1987 the actor is the star son of veteran director David Dhawan and younger brother of 'Desi Boyz' director Rohit Dhawan. Actor Anil Dhawan is Varun's paternal uncle.

Varun Dhawan earned a degree in management from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Varun also got his dancing skills polished under dancing maestro Shiamak Davar before taking up to acting. Being a star kid and having a strong filmy background he always had an option to start his career with a big banner and much ease. But he opted for a long route to prove and justify his abilities. He came out to struggle and make a mark for himself. Before making his acting debut in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year', the young lad also assisted Karan in his 2010 flick 'My name is Khan' along with debut co-actor Siddharth Malhotra.

The actor is also passionate about dancing and gymming in personal life. His next projects include a 'Balaji Motion Pictures LTD' movie-'Main Tera Hero' which is to be directed by his daddy-cool David Dhawan.He recently won Lion's gold awards 2013 in the category Lion's Favorite debut male for the movie 'Student Of The Year'.
