Storyline
Rizwan an Indian Muslim lives in the US along with his Hindu wife Mandira and her son Sameer from her previous marriage. Rizwan is suffering from Asperger\'s syndrome. Their blissful life gets shattered when Sameer falls prey to the post 9/11 hatred crime against the Asians. Shattered Mandira sarcastically challenges Rizwan to tell the president and people of US that his name is Khan but he is not a terrorist.

Director Karan Johar is known for making good and commercial films. He is also known for making films starting with the alphabet 'K'. Some of his earlier successful films, starting with 'K' are 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum', 'Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai', 'Kal Ho Na Ho' etc. This time he has come up with different title 'My Name Is Khan' which has surprised everyone.
