Despite a phenomenal worldwide opening, the film has experienced a noticeable decline in its collections since Monday, September 4. 'Kushi,' directed by Shiva Nirvana, made an impressive start, raking in over Rs 70 crore globally within just three days of its release on September 1. However, the film's box office performance took a hit on its sixth day, September 6th, where it is estimated to have earned approximately Rs 1.50 crore net in India.
As of now, the movie's domestic box office collection stands at Rs 40.65 crore for the first six days. On September 6th, the film recorded an occupancy rate of 17.25 percent in India. Additionally, with the wide release of 'Jawan' in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, the fate of 'Kushi's' collection in the coming days remains uncertain.
'Kushi' marks the first collaboration between Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda. Apart from the lead actors, the film boasts a strong supporting cast including Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, and Rahul Ramakrishna.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 'Kushi' also boasts a talented technical crew with Hesham Abdul Wahab as the composer, Murali G as the cinematographer, and Prawin Pudi as the editor.
Despite its initial success, the film's box office journey in the coming days will be closely watched to see if it can regain momentum and inch closer to the coveted Rs 100 crore global mark.
