‘Kushi’, directed by Shiva Nirvana and starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles, made its theatrical debut on September 1. This film marks the second collaboration between the two actors, following their work together in ‘Mahanati’.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from both audiences and critics, the film had a strong opening on its first Sunday. However, it fell short of expectations on Monday, posting decent but lower numbers on Day 4.
On the third day of its release, ‘Kushi’ managed to collect approximately Rs 11 Crore in India. Unfortunately, on Day 4, it only accumulated Rs 4 Crore. The film's total domestic collection now stands at around Rs 39.4 Crore, but it aspires to reach a worldwide total of Rs 75 Crore. Impressively, ‘Kushi’ is also achieving remarkable numbers in the US market.
The film's producers recently announced that ‘Kushi’ had crossed the Rs 50 Crore mark in just two days since its release on September 1. On Day 4, the film maintained a total occupancy rate of 51.46 percent in theaters.
Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, ‘Kushi’ also features Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, and Rahul Ramakrishna in significant roles. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by Hesham Abdul.
