Released on Friday, ‘Kushi’ not only performed well in Telugu but also in its dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, collectively amassing over ₹36 crore nett in its first week in theaters, as reported by Sacnilk.com.
On Sunday, the film achieved a significant milestone by earning an estimated ₹11 crore nett across all languages in India. It had a strong start on Friday, collecting ₹15.25 crore nett in total, with ₹14.7 crore from the Telugu version and ₹55 lakh from the Tamil version. On Saturday, ‘Kushi’ experienced a slight decline with a 35.08 percent drop, still managing to earn ₹9.9 crore nett across all languages. The Telugu version contributed ₹9.25 crore, while the Tamil version added ₹65 lakh to the total. As of early estimates, the film's cumulative collection in India now stands at ₹36.15 crore nett across all languages.
‘Kushi’, a romantic-comedy film written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, revolves around the story of Viplav (played by Vijay) and Aradhya (played by Samantha), who defy their parents' wishes to marry but face various relationship challenges, including insecurities and jealousy. The film also features Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, and Murali Sharma in supporting roles and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
The film's journey began in April 2022, initially under the tentative title ‘VD11’, signifying Vijay Deverakonda's eleventh lead role. The official title, ‘Kushi’, was revealed in May. Filming commenced in April 2022 in Kashmir and wrapped up in July 2023, with a brief hiatus in between due to Samantha's myositis diagnosis.

Looking ahead, Vijay Deverakonda is set to appear alongside Sreeleela in Gowtam Tinnanuri's upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘VD 12’.
Samantha, on the other hand, is gearing up for the Indian adaptation of the action series ‘Citadel’, where she will share the screen with Varun Dhawan. The series, created by Raj and DK, is set to stream on Prime Video.
