Recalling the incidents that unfolded, Sanjay Dutt mentioned how he felt numb during the time of her death. He mentioned that he did not shed any tears during the time of her death and two years later, his friend shared a recording of Nargis recorded from her deathbed in New York. It was only when he heard his mother’s wife that he could not control his emotions.

Nargis can be seen telling Sanjay Dutt, “More than anything, Sanju, keep your humility. Keep your character. Never show off. Always be humble and always respect the elders. That is the thing that is going to take you far, and that is going to give you strength in your work.”
