Ranveer Singh is now making news for his song ‘What Jhumka’ from the movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, directed by Karan Johar. In the song, Ranveer and Alia Bhatt dance to a spirited rendition of the timeless tune Jhumka Gira Re Bareily Ke Bazaar Mein. The actor began his career with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and is getting ready to return after a break from the box office with ‘Cirkus’, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, and ‘83’.
Ranveer is apparently preparing for his new chapter with Dharma Productions after parting ways amicably with the talent management company of Yash Raj Films. It's interesting to note that Karan Johar did not approve of his Band Baaja Baaraat audition! Aditya Chopra nevertheless cast him.

In an interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui admitted that he helped Ranveer Singh prepare for his feature film debut. He said, "A movie called Band Baaja Baaraat was being created at the time. I used to teach him acting and other things while I prepared him for the movie. Yash Raj Films had set a 45-day training timetable for me, but I left the training in the middle after receiving work. Later, another actor worked with him.
Therefore, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's acting skills served as a foundation for Ranveer Singh's excellent performance in the movie. What an incredible start to his acting career. The two performers haven't worked together before, but it would be intriguing to see them in a movie. They were, nevertheless, extremely near to being cast with one another in Kabir Khan's 83. According to rumours, Nawaz will play a coach in the movie in which Ranveer would portray Kapil Dev. The Gang of Wasseypur actor, however, later denied the reports.
