Actress Kangana Ranaut debunked rumours on her Instagram page that the distributor of her 2021 movie 'Thalaivii' is seeking Rs 6 crore as restitution for the movie's box office flop. She also responded to a recent rumour that said she was having financial difficulties with her upcoming movie Emergency. In an Instagram story, Kangana referred to the rumours as 'false propaganda' and denied them.
As per the popular news portal reports, which distributes ‘Thalaivii’ throughout the nation, had asked the creators for Rs 6 crore in restitution.
Directed by AL Vijay, 'Thalaivii' is a biography of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who did poorly at the box office. Following 'Thalaivii,' Kangana Ranaut acted in 'Dhaakad,' another flop project at the box office. Now in Udaipur, she is celebrating her 36th birthday.
