Everyone is aware of the tension between Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut. Rangoli Chandel, Kangana Ranaut's manager and sister, was the one who referred to Taapsee as a "sasti copy" of Kangana. The actress from Queen continued to speak up for her sister while constantly calling Taapsee "sasti" (cheap). Following their epic Twitter argument, Taapsee has now spoken out regarding whether she will ever speak to Kangana again.

Taapsee Pannu stated in an interview, she said, “I don’t know, honestly. But if there is a situation where she is in front of me, then I will go and say hello. Mujhe thodi problem hai, problem usse hai. So uski marzi. She is a very good actress and when she said ‘sasti copy’ I took it as a compliment.”
Taapsee mentioned in the same interview that she once tried her hand at modelling before becoming an actor and was ridiculed by a designer. As a student, she had placed in the top 28 of the Miss India competition.
Anurag Kashyap, the director of Taapsee and Dobaaraa, has previously come under fire from Kangana, who claimed, “You will always remain sasti because you are sab rapists ka feminist… your ring master (Anurag) Kashyap was raided in 2013 as well for tax chori… government official’s report is out if you aren’t guilty go to court against them come clean on this… come on sasti."
When Haseen Dillruba was released in 2021, Taapsee referred to Kangana as "too irrelevant" for her personal life. Kangana responded, “She calls producers and begs Kangana ji ne kuch chhoda hai toh mujhe de do please, aur aaj iski aukaat dekho, jo kabhi gareeb producer ki Kangana kehlane mein bhi proud feel karti thi… aaj mujhe hi irrelevant keh rahi hai ha ha. Insaan aur uski fitrat ajeeb hai. Anyway all the best with your film girl. Try promoting it without my name ((She used to phone producers and grovel for parts that I had turned down. Look at her now. She used to be pleased to be referred to as a "poor man's Kangana," but now she calls me irrelevant. Human nature is peculiar.)”
