Renowned lyricist Dev Kohli, known for penning lyrics for over 100 blockbuster films like 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Baazigar', and 'Judwaa 2', has passed away at the age of 80.
Having collaborated with composers spanning generations, from Shankar-Jaikishan to Vishal and Shekhar, Dev Kohli's contribution to the world of music is undeniable. His unfortunate demise occurred on August 26. The final viewing of Dev Kohli will be held at his residence in Jupiter Apartment, 4th Cross Lane, Lokhandwala Complex, Mumbai, starting at 2 pm. Later, his last rites will take place at 6 pm at Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West.

The Bollywood fraternity, including close associates like Anand Raaj Anand, Anu Malik, and Uttam Singh, will be in attendance to bid their final farewell.
Dev Kohli's lyrical talent graced more than 100 hit films, such as 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Baazigar', 'Judwaa 2', 'Musafir', 'Shoot Out At Lokhandwala', and 'Taxi Num 911'. He collaborated with renowned music directors like Anu Malik, Raam Laxman, Anand Raaj Anand, Anand Milind, among others.
In 'Lal Patthar' (1971), his second film as a lyricist, the popular track 'Geet Gaata Hoon Main' added to the movie's appeal, featuring Rajkumar and Hema Malini. Dev's creative genius gave life to several chartbusters, including 'Maaye Ni Maaye', 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen', 'Geet Gaata Hoon', and 'O Saki Saki'.
