Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram handle on Thursday sharing her views on the recently concluded 69th National Film Festival. The actress was nominated for the best actress category and her film ‘Thalaivii’ for the best film. However, to her disappointment, none of the awards were won by her.
The results of the annual film awards were released in a press conference on Thursday evening. Alia Bhatt won the ‘best actress award’ for the film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. ‘Sardhar Uddham’ won the category of ‘Best Feature Film.’

The actress took to Instagram sharing her thoughts on the result saying, “Congratulations to all the winners of #nationalawards2023. It's such an art carnival that brings all the artists across the country together...It's truly magical to know and to get introduced to so much important work that's happening across all languages (sic)."
She added a message for her fans who were rooting for her win saying, “All of you who are disappointed that my film Thalaivii didn't win any...please know I am eternally grateful for whatever Krishna give and didn't give me and all of you who really love and appreciate me must appreciate my perspective as well...Art is subjective and I truly believe that the jury did their best... I wish everyone the best Hare Krishna (sic)."
'Thalaivii' starring Kangana Ranaut, Arvind Swami, Madhoo, Nasser, Bhagyashree, Samuthirakani, Radha Ravi, Shamna Kasim AKA Poorna and Thambi Ramaiah was released in 2021. The actress played the part of the former late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa.
