Throughout their illustrious tenure, the pair managed to win the hearts of millions of people. It was love at first sight for Jaya, though, once she talked about her connection with Big B and explained how she became frightened.

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan once made an appearance on Simi Garewal's show. Simi inquired about her knowledge of her impending marriage to Amitabh in an old video. Amitabh was shocked by the actress' startling response to his question.The actress said, “I didn’t know I would marry this man. But I got frightened.” Big B was taken aback by her response and continued asking, "Did you feel scared?"
In recalling her first encounter with Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan said, “When I first met him, I saw the danger. I got frightened because he was the only one who, out of a lot of people that I’ve known, could dictate things to me, and I allow him to do that,” Jaya said, adding, “It’s not like he would dictate things to me, it’s just that even if he said somethings to me mildly, I’d do them. I’d want to please him. That’s something that does not come to me easily and naturally, to want to please people.”
The popular video was posted on an Instagram page, and Jaya Bachchan's response received a swift response from online users.
