Sunny Deol stated in a press release that the next film "carries forward the legacy of its iconic first part" when the first ‘Gadar 2’ teaser was published earlier this month. He continued by saying that the movie's core still is an epic tale of love, bravery, and patriotism.
The first movie, ‘Gadar Ek Prem Katha’, showed how the division of India affected people's livelihoods. That year, Tara (Sunny) and Sakeena (Ameesha)'s tale of loyalty, love, and sacrifice broke box office records.
