Digital encroachment will not go away. A-list celebrities are bearing the brunt of it. Recently, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor learned with amazement that their joint labor of love, Bawaal, had been sold to Prime Video.
Nitesh Tiwari's film Bawaal, with an estimated budget of Rs. 275 crores, is an extraordinarily expensive movie that was filmed on various continents. It is a made-for-cinema experience featuring two amiable stars in Varun and Janhvi, but the performers in the movie weren't happy with its internet distribution.

One of the Bawaal leads' close friends reportedly commented, "We were startled to see Bawaal is heading straight to OTT. The movie was made with a big screen in mind. However, nobody can do anything.
This was the second time Varun's movie was forcibly moved to digital without his consent. The first time was Coolie No. 1 of his father David Dhawan during the height of the COVID-19 crisis.
Sonam Kapoor is now the one who is being denied the chance to see her labor of love on a major motion picture.
Sonam, who was most recently seen in The Zoya Factor, takes the attention of the ‘Blind’. She plays a blind girl in the Hindi version of the 2011 Korean film ‘Blind’, which Jio Cinema will start streaming on July 7.
Sonam was taken aback by the news. She apparently didn't know about the change in plans. The makers of ‘Blind’, however, had little option due to the theatre negotiations, similar to what happened with ‘Bawaal’.

It's unfortunate because Sonam's only genuinely noteworthy performance since Neerja was in ‘Blind’. Sonam's character is at the focus of the entire story, which follows an ex-cop who becomes blind after an accident that occurs while she is pursuing a criminal and how she pursues him despite her physical impairment. In this Korean version, Sonam, who has never before performed in an action movie, kicks some serious butt. It's unfortunate that her efforts won't be appreciated on a large scale.
