Jackie shroff is one of the big names in the Bollywood industry today. But that was not always the same. During his struggling period, the actor had to live in chawls and wait for long hours to use the toilets.

Recently, in a podcast with Mukesh Khanna, Jackie reveals how there were only 3 toilets for seven households, consisting of more than 34 people. He says that he was given special privilege of a private toilet only after his films began to become hits.
The ‘Hero’ actor reveals, “Producers would come and sit on two boxes that we’d arranged as a meeting place. One box in the middle was our table. You could see Marine Drive in front, my house in the back, and my bathroom on the side”
He added, “There were three toilets for seven households. And the households were big, more than 30 people. And in the mornings, queues would form. But I had to rush to shoot. They used to tell me to ‘tham, tham (stop).’ But when my movies became hits, they gave me private sandas.”

Jackie also discloses that the people in Chawl would lock the bathroom when he wasn’t around. The actor says that he requested people to use his bathroom after he was done but they refused and continued to stand in long queues.
