Tisca Chopra speaks about her upcoming thriller show Dahan says, ‘It captures raw fear as each character faces their own demons’
The intense horror show starring Tisca Chopra and Saurabh Shukla will follow a sinister, superstitious story with supernatural happenings in the sleepy, rural village of Shilaspura, often known as "The Land of the Dead." The show appears to be quite intriguing and interesting, and the makers recently released the trailer.
Tisca Chopra, who portrays an IAS officer in the thriller series, spoke about the show and her character. She says, "What I love most about 'Dahan - Raakan ka Rahasya' is how it captures raw fear as each character faces their own demons. Avani Raut, my character, fights personal and professional battles when she is caught in the crossfire of superstition and the supernatural and resin and practicality on the other."
She further added, "The show puts the character Avani Raut on a quest by drawing parallels between her external and internal fears, which all of us confront. It's been an absolute delight to bring Dahan and Avani to the audiences."
Along with Lehar Khan, Rajesh Tailang, Saurabh Shukla, Ankur Nayyar, Rohan Joshi, and Mukesh Tiwari, the show was filmed in Rajasthan's arid settings. The nine-episode series, which will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on September 16 is directed by Vikranth Pawar and written by Nisarg Mehta, Shiva Bajpai, and Nikhil Nair.
