Headlined by Arjun Mathur and Sobhita DhulipalaMade In Heaven (2019) turned out to be a massive hit upon its premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2019. The 9-episode streaming show, created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, was set against the backdrop of lavish and expensive weddings in Delhi. It did not only garner great reviews from critics but also remarkable audience response world over.

Right after the roaring success of Made In Heaven, the makers announced Season 2. The shooting for the second season was set to begin in the first half of 2020, but the sudden outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic threw a wrench into the works and derailed the plans.

The makers started filming some time ago, and the shooting is taking place in full swing. While the team is presently busy wrapping up production, some interesting details have emerged on the upcoming season.

According to reports, the makers will not explore Indian locales as the wedding destinations in Made In Heaven 2 but have headed internationally too. Yes, Akhtar and her team of co-directors and production unit recently landed in France to commence work on an extensive, long-pending schedule of Made In Heaven 2.

 “Sobhita left for France on November 19. They will be shooting in Nice and Cannes, among other places, before returning to Mumbai. It is a 21-day schedule for now, but the team is hoping to finish early with days to spare,” a source close to the development informs,

The first season also featured several celebrities in special appearances. In Made In Heaven 2, Jacqueline Fernandez, Dia Mirza, Mrunal Thakur, Radhika Apte, and Neelam Kothari are set to appear in separate episodes.

Made In Heaven 2 is expected to premiere in 2022.
