Sikandar Kher's forte is becoming the negative role. He was last seen in Aarya playing the role of brooding Daulat. He is all set to play the role of a gangster in his upcoming series, Chidiya Udd. The series will be helmed by National Award-winning director Ravi Jadhav. The web series is based on a set in Kamathipura, and its story revolves around human trafficking. The reports say that his character in the series is inspired by real-life criminals who work in the area.
One source revealed, "Kamathipura is known to be the den of some gangsters. Sikandar's character is an amalgamation of two to three criminals who deal in the trafficking of women. Ravi asked the actor to study their mannerisms and body language when he briefed him about the role. Since the inspiration for the character is borrowed from two gangsters still active in Kamathipura and another serving a jail term, the team is keeping their names under wraps."
The series has Jackie Shroff and Madhur Mittal in significant roles in the show. The series cast includes Ravi Kothari, Gopal K Singh, and Dheeraj Dev. Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri produced the series directed by Marathi director Ravi Jadhav.
It will be the second time Jackie Shroff and Sikandar Kher share the screen together. Earlier, both worked in a web series, Romeo Akbar Walter, in 2019. In the upcoming series, Sikandar Kher will play the most challenging roles of his career. He is excited about it.
