Saqib Saleem comes onboard for Raj & DK’s Citadel with Samantha Prabhu and Varun Dhawan

One of the most eagerly anticipated films is Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's Citadel, featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. While the directors have started the pre-production work, the cast has also begun preparing for their roles as they will appear in some intense action sequences in the drama. Sources have just released a new casting update. Actor Saqib Saleem has joined Varun and Samantha in the series, according to the info.

Saqib joins Raj & DK’s Citadel.

A source close to the series revealed, "Saqib recently joined the cast and has a major part in the flick. He has been preparing for his part as well. Raj and DK plan to begin filming in the latter half of November. The show will be filmed in a few different foreign countries in addition to Mumbai, where filming will start. These locations are currently being finalized by the filmmakers, who are also casting actors for other crucial roles in Citadel.”

It's interesting to note that Varun and Saqib previously collaborated on the film Dishoom, which was directed by the former's brother Rohit Dhawan. In that film, the actor from Badlapur portrayed a cop, while Saqib was portrayed as a cricket player. Varun will begin filming Citadel once Amar Kaushik's Bhediya, which will be released on November 25, 2022, has finished its promotional run.
