As Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra, Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur return. They must learn to adjust to their new status quo and the effects of the events of the previous season on their personal and professional life. With each episode of the first season concentrating on a different wedding and including a number of guest stars, it was almost like an anthology. But the main plot of the show consisted of the parallel stories of Tara and Karan. Dia Mirza, Sameer Soni, Sanjay Kapoor, Radhika Apte, and Mrunal Thakur will all appear as guest stars in the second season.

Both Vijay Raaz, who stops by to warn Tara and Karan that their company isn't making a profit, and Mona Singh, who plays a brazen auditor, make their debuts in the new season. As Tara and Karan dispute about the company while also battling personal issues, tensions rise. Although she doesn't know he is gay, Karan's mother still encourages him to get married. However, Tara is still suffering from the fallout from her breakup with Jim Sarbh's character in the first season.

The official synopsis for the new season on Prime Video reads, “Financial challenges, a depleted client roster, and a crumbling bungalow for an office forces wedding planners Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra to adapt to a new uncomfortable status quo. With repercussions being felt in their personal lives as well, the pair continue to deliver fairy-tale weddings. But beneath the glitz and glamour of Delhi weddings lie prejudices that are as deep-rooted as its traditions.”

Prashant Nair, who recently oversaw Netflix's 'Trial By Fire,' will be replaced in season two by Neeraj Ghaywan, who gained notoriety for 'Masaan,' the short film 'Geeli Pucchi,' and his involvement on the second season of 'Sacred Games.' The first season was directed by Zoya, Alankrita Shrivastava, Prashant Nair, and Nitya Mehra.
