As per latest reports, director Shonali Bose has roped in Farhan Akhtar and Shabana Azmi to star in an upcoming web series. The project is being bankrolled by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.
Shonali, whose last film 'The Sky Is Pink' (2019), won widescale critical acclaim, is very kicked about the web series. Sharing her joy, the director says that Shabana Azmi was her first choice for the project.
While Azmi herself is looking forward to the cinematic association with Bose, the only problem is that her dates are clashing with Steven Spielberg's 'Halo Season 2'.
A source close to the veteran actress revealed: "Shabana is trying her best to settle the date clash. She committed to Halo Season 2 long before she signed Shonali's series. Nevertheless, she is excited about working with Shonali and her son Farhan".
Noteworthy, Shonali Bose has earlier worked with Farhan Akhtar in 'The Sky Is Pink', which also starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf.
Furthermore, Farhan had directed Shabana Azmi in a short film named 'Positive', which also starred Boman Irani.
