Aamir Ali to star in Hansal Mehta and Jai Mehta’s streaming show on Somalian Pirates
Talented actor Aamir Ali, who was last seen in the dark comedy series Black Widows (2020) on ZEE5, has reportedly signed on to star in filmmakers Hansal Mehta and Jay Mehta’s upcoming streaming show on Somalian Pirates. The actor was earlier shooting with Hansal Mehta for his next directorial Faraaz.
For the uninitiated, filmmakers Hansal Mehta and Jai Mehta, makers of Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story (2020), are coming together again for a high-profile show, set to be mounted on a lavish scale.
The untitled project will feature a host of Indian as well as international actors. Produced by Shaailesh R Singh under the banner of Karma Media and Entertainment, the show will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
Aamir Ali has joined Vivek Gomber, Rajat Kapoor, Deepak Tijori, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gaurav Paswala, and Harry Parmar on the cast of the show. As per reports, the team has already begun production. They are currently filming on a colossal ship in Cape Town. From what we hear is that the team has planned a 90-days shooting schedule for the show in Cape Town, Ukraine, and Delhi.
