THIS Sequence From ‘Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’ Has a Connection With Abhimanyu and Akshara From ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’

Karan Johar’s most awaited film ‘Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ has left the fans curious. The trailer of the movie was recently released and was loved by the audience. The movie features many popular faces from the B-Town including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachan, Dimple Kapadia, Dharmendra among others.

While fans took to social media handles to share their thoughts about the trailer, a few TV buffs and ardent Abhimanyu- Akshara fans (from Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’) noticed a similarity between one sequence of the film and the show.

The sequence of Rocky and Rani’s wedding sequence is quite similar to the iconic AbhiRa (Abhimanyu-Akshara) wedding. Like Akshara, Rani (Alia Bhatt) is seen walking down the aisle for her groom. She steps down from a few stairs and that’s exactly how #AbhiKiAkshu entered the wedding mandap in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Meanwhile, Rocky (Ranveer Singh) gets mesmerized by looking at his bride just like how Abhimanyu couldn’t take his eyes off Akshara in the sequence.

While TV has taken inspiration from Bollywood a number of times, looks like the tables have turned and the makers of a renowned production house from the movie business apparently got inspired by a sequence from televisions’ one of the most loved TV shows.
