Actor Karan Kundrra, whose fame and popularity doubled manifold post his appearance as a contestant in Colors TV's reality show Bigg Boss 15 (2021), is in news all the time - for his shows, films and also his love life. The 37-year-old is currently in relationship with TV actress and Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejasswi Prakash and is basking in all the love and glory that's coming his way.

While his transition from small screen to Bollywood happened a couple of years back, many still believe Karan is yet to get the recognition that he deserves. Speaking on the same, he says- "I believe in the maxim, "Enjoy till it lasts". That's what my father told me when I got my first break on TV. An actor's career graph is full of ups and down. A great moment may be soon followed by a complete lull. So having patience and believing in yourself is most important."

Another evil that Karan firmly believes needs to be done away with is pay disparity between TV actors and Bollywood stars. "The range of disparity is such that despite being huge and popular figures, some TV actors get paid only 25 percent of what an average film star gets. This gap needs to be filled. And OTT platforms can be of great help as they provide better pay and a larger platform to TV stars to showcase their talent and potential."

The Kitni Mohabbat Hai (2009) stars goes on to explain that there's a difference between being popular and being a star.

"Popularity and stardom are two different things. If you are on TV then you are a undoubtedly a popular face. But if you switch to films and people still buy tickets and flock to cinema halls to catch a glimpse of you on the big screen, then you're a star," says Karan.

On the work front, Karan Kundrra was last seen in Alankrita Shrivastava's 2020 film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare, which also featured Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar. As of April 2022, he also hosted the show Dance Deewane Juniors on Colors TV.
