The producers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, Asit Kumarr Modi, Sohail Ramani, and Jatin Bajaj were accused of sexual and psychological harassment by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal a few weeks ago. As one of the most watched TV programmes in the nation with the largest ensemble cast ever to be seen on a show, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, it caused a stir in the television business.
Jennifer Mistry admits that she just received a call from the Powai police in an interview with an online entertainment news blog. They requested that she return to Mumbai. Jennifer was instructed to report to the Powai police station so that her statement could be taken. The actress reveals that she visited the station yesterday to get her statement taken. Jennifer claims that she arrived at the location around 12 PM and finished her statement by 6:15 PM.
Jennifer continues by saying that she has been told by the police that they will contact her again if they require anything further. The actress has only made a statement to the police thus far. "I’ve given my entire statement to them. I was there for 6 hours. Now, the law will take its course," she stated in an interview.
The actress said that Asit Modi would make sexually harassing comments about the actress' appearance and facial features. Jennifer asserted that he had asked her to join him for a drink in his hotel room. Jennifer also lamented the fact that none of the team members were openly supporting her because they were all trying to save their careers. When Jennifer was drafting the lawsuit against the show's producers after departing, Mandar Chandwadkar, who had been close to her, urged her to consider the show.
On the other hand, the directing team had made accusations against Jennifer, saying that she lacked discipline and was abusive to everyone. Malav Rajda, a previous director, rejected these accusations. Monika Bhadoriya and Priya Rajda Ahuja also discussed their experiences working on ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ after Jennifer.
