The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed Mumbai police to continue the relief of 'no coercive action' against Rakhi Sawant till February 1 in a case filed by a model against the actor. The model in the complaint contended that Sawant circulated unhappy videos and pictures of her.
On Monday, the Bombay court directed the Mumbai police not to take any action against Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant till Tuesday in connection with a case lodged against her by a model. Sawant has approached the High Court looking for anticipatory bail. According to the execution, Rakhi Sawant exhibited some videos of the petitioner, which were sexually unambiguous to the media.
The bench of Justice MS Karnik dispatched the matter for the next day. Mumbai police have registered a case against Sawant on the model-actor's complaint on January 19, alleging that Sawant made inappropriate videos and photos of her, which has gone viral. The Mumbai Police also talked about the complaint. An FIR was registered against Rakhi Sawant and advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt. On Thursday, Sawant was imprisoned by the Amboli police after a Mumbai sessions court rejected her anticipatory bail application on Wednesday.
The case results from Two tinsel town stars dispute where Rakhi Sawant and another have been ongoing. In November 2022, Rakhi Sawant and the other model filed FIRs against each other for using objectionable language, according to the police on Wednesday.
A famous model filed a complaint against Rakhi in November last year in the Amboli police station under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult), and 509 (insulting a woman's modesty by act, word, or gesture) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 (transmission of obscene content in electronic form) of the IT Act against Sawant and her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt.
