Sheezan Khan, who is a defendant in the death of Tunisha Sharma case, has expressed his desire to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend and co-star. After spending more than a month in detention, Sheezan is now out on bail. Cops ruled Tunisha's death a suicide after she was discovered dead on the Ali Baba Daastan-E-Kabul TV set in December of last year.
Sheezan was swiftly arrested after Tunisha's mother accused him of encouraging suicide the day after the actor was found dead. A judge granted him bail on Saturday in exchange for a personal bond in the sum of one lakh rupees and one or more sureties in the same amount.
In an interview, Sheezan responded when asked about Tunisha: "I miss her and if she was alive, she would have fought for me.” He further talked about being back from the prison, and with his family. “Today, I understand the true meaning of freedom and I can feel it. I was in tears the moment I saw my mother and sisters and I am so happy to be back with them."
He further stated, "Finally, I am with my family! It’s an overwhelming feeling. All I want to do for a few days is lie in my mother’s lap, eat food cooked by her, and spend time with my sisters and brother.”
A court granted Sheezan Khan bail on March 4 on the grounds that "no need to keep him in jail since the probe was complete and chargesheet filed," according to a PTI report. On Sunday, the actor emerged from Thane Central jail and gave his sisters Falaq and Shafaq Naaz hugs.
Even if it were considered that Sheezan withdrew from the relationship, Sheezan's attorney Shailendra Mishra argued in court documents that Sheezan's refusal to resume his contact with Tunisha would not meet the requirements of abetment. Two months before Tunisha’s murder, Tunisha and Sheezan supposedly split up. Sheezan brought Tunisha to the hospital, and Shailendra continued, saying that this demonstrated his innocence in the matter.
