Our television actors have frequently brought up difficulties with the wage culture in the industry, from pay discrepancies to pay cuts. Many performers have shared their stories with us, and now actress Kashish Duggal, who presently portrays Suman Yadav in the television series 'Sapnon Ki Chhalaang', recalls a time when she only received half of the compensation that was promised.
"Everyone faces a time when their financial graph goes down, and similarly, I have also been through this phase," she says, describing the situation that caused her to experience financial hardship. "There was a period when my charge was reduced by 50%, as I recall. By claiming that the producer didn't receive payment from the channel, I wasn't given the sum that was promised. Because "jab aap itni mehnat se kam karo aur aapko apke kaam ke adhe paise mile to bhot bura lagta hai," it had truly affected me."
In summation, Kashish offers the following perspective on the industry's pay structure: "I do believe that payment on time and in full is very crucial, since when we don't compromise on our work, why should we do with our salary? Since I have to take care of my family, it might be challenging at times to work for little pay. I also disagree with the rule that all actors must be compensated 90 days after a show's first transmission.
People get paid monthly in every industry, so why should performers have to wait an additional 90 days? I would ask for this policy to be changed because this approach is absolutely ludicrous.

She is renowned for her acting abilities in a variety of shows, including ‘Kisi Ki nazar na lage’, ‘Sufiyana Pyaar Mera’, ‘Lockdown Ki Love Story’, and many others.
