Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Shamshera. The actor is on a promotional spree for the Karan Malhotra directed historical drama. Along with his co-star Vaani Kapoor, the actor recently made an appearance on the Star Plus special Ravivaar With Star Parivaar. Ranbir said that he and Arjun Bijlani, who served as the program's anchor, are classmates from school.

Randomly, Ranbir addresses Bijlani and says to everyone, " Log jaante nahi hain yeh magar hum ek dusre ko bachpan se jaante hain (People don't know that we know each other from childhood). We were in the same school, the same class and the same house for football. It feels so great to see everything that you are doing. The fact that you are a father, and you are such a good host. It's really heartwarming to see a colleague of mine, a friend of mine do so well."

"Thanks yaar," replied Arjun. When Ranbir, who was seated, sought to find a way to leave his seat and hug Arjun, he exclaimed, "Kahan se aaun? “Jahan se bhi aa bas gale mil le yaar (Come from anywhere buddy but just give me a hug,” said Arjun.

The Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai is where Kapoor and Bijlani both received their education. Arjun made his acting debut with the 2004 Balaji Telefilms television series Kartika, while Ranbir made his debut with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Saawariya in 2007.
