Anadkat has already put his papers down and won’t be seen on the show after some time. Some media outlets report that the young actor was contemplating on quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for a while now. His contract with the makers was due for renewal in December.

But instead of extending his contract, Anadkat decided to exit the show. Before arriving on the decision, he reportedly had a discussion with the makers and there was no conclusion that was agreeable to both parties with regards to the renewal of the contract. The actor is expected to wrap up shooting before Christmas.

Die hard fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah would remember that this is not the first high-profile exit from the show. In the past, actors like Gurucharan Singh aka Sodhi, and Neha Mehta aka Anjali also quit the show for a variety of reasons.

Raj Anadkat took over from Bhavya Gandhi as Tapu back in 2017. After playing the popular character for four years, he is also set to bid adieu. It will be interesting to see who comes onboard to replace him as Tapu.
