Nazar star Harsh Rajput opens about his struggling days and says, ‘There was this one and a half one year when I had no work’

Actor Harsh Rajput is well-known in the Telly community for his role as Ansh Rathod from Nazar. A career dry period is difficult and not something to take lightly. Before landing his role in the popular spooky thriller Nazar, which aired for almost two years, actor Harsh Rajput went through a period of unemployment. While he was financially secure because of his savings and little business, his motivation was waning because he had no work.

The actor expressed, “The toughest period (in my life) was before Nazar. There was this whole one and a half year where I had no work and I genuinely had no work. I was trying, and I tried everything; every big or small role, every genre. I auditioned for everything. But nothing was working. I did not understand where I was going wrong. That was one of the toughest periods of my life. I was not getting work, and I was ready for any work that I’d get. But I wasn’t getting any. It was tough physically, mentally, and emotionally,”

Rajput acknowledges that the phase had a negative impact on his mental health, but credits his family with keeping him motivated and encouraging. He mentioned, “Actors are very emotional people. Kaafi choti baatein bhi bother karti hain. And at that time nothing was working for me. That was the last level I had reached, isse nahi jaaunga (that I was aware of).”

Harsh will soon appear in another spooky show called Pishachini, according to the most recent reports. Nyrraa M. Banerjee and Jiya Shankar are also the lead actresses in Pishachini. In this eerie drama, Harsh has now also been cast in the lead role. The actor will take on the character of Rakshit, also known as "Rocky" Rajput.
