Mahhi Vij reveals her cook threatened to stab her; says ‘I’m scared for my family’s safety'

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali are well-known personalities in the television industry and one of the most adored couples. The couple recently witnessed a frightening turn of events when their temporary cook threatened to stab them with a "Khanjar." Mahhi tweeted about the incident, but the actress later took it down.

In a recent interview, the Lal Ishq (2018) actress claimed that their temporary cook not only became drunk but also abused them. Mahhi described the incident, saying that it all began when they received a warning that their cook had been stealing. The cook simply demanded money while abusing Jay as he attempted to pay the bill.

She said, “It had just been three days and we were alerted that he’s stealing. I had waited to inform Jay. When Jay came, he wanted to settle the bill but the cook demanded to be paid for the entire month. When Jay tried to reason out, he said ‘200 biharis laake khada kar dunga’. He got drunk and started hurling abuses at us. We went to the cops. I don’t care if anything happens to me, but I was scared for my daughter.”

For the unversed, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij tied the knot in 2011 and are parents to a daughter named Tara.
