A video of India's Best Dancer 2 contestant Varun Dagar being harassed and hauled by Delhi Police has recently gone viral.
Connaught Place in New Delhi is a bustling business and financial district. Many citizens are displaying their talents on the streets of CP. Dagar is one of the dancers who frequent the alleyways and entice people with his performance.

Dagar was allegedly assaulted by police while dancing at CP, as usual. The dancer, who has over 4.23 lakh Instagram followers, released a video of the incident and provided details.
Varun Dagar posted a video of himself being dragged by police and commented, "When the police came to move me from my spot in B block, the block's parking managers joined them." The brawl started when many questioned the cops. During all of this, I was collecting my possessions when a block manager grabbed my collar, pulled me, and abused me."
"As they left, one policeman snatched me, pulled my hair, and beat me with his elbow," Varun continued. He pulled me to the police van in the same manner and abused me the entire time." When the police officers approached Varun about what he had done, he informed them he would answer their questions at the police station. An enraged Varun wrote to the parking management and police officers, "They had no right to assault me, and I am going to take legal action against them."
Meanwhile, a senior police officer stated that after the Traders Association of Connaught Place tweeted about the impediment made by artists in Connaught Place, cognizance was taken and two police officers were dispatched to the location to remove Varun Dagar.
